Bang Si Hyuk has received 658 737,50 euros from HYBE during the first half of 2024.

In the past, the founder of HYBE announced that his salary would be reduced to zero. Indeed, he no longer receives a single cent as a salary but can still receive bonuses and incentives from the company.

Today, the financial figures for the first half of 2024 from HYBE have been revealed, showing that Bang Si Hyuk received a bonus of 980 million won (approximately 659 000 euros) from HYBE.

According to HYBE's semi-annual report filed on August 15th, Bang Si Hyuk’s base salary was indeed set at zero, while he received a performance bonus of 659,000 euros. HYBE explained that the decision not to pay him a salary was made to emphasize its "performance-based compensation" policy and to strengthen responsible management.

This substantial bonus was awarded based on the comprehensive evaluation by the compensation committee of his performance and management capabilities in 2023, with the board of directors' approval in 2024.

HYBE explained that the bonus was granted in recognition of Bang Si Hyuk's role in the successful advancement of the company's key projects, such as the launch of new groups and global market expansion. His efforts to enhance HYBE's brand value and lead the company through dynamic changes and innovations were also highlighted as reasons for this bonus.
