This article mentions more than questionable methods of forcing people to lose weight. Remember not to imitate insane methods like these to lose weight.

K-POP agencies can sometimes go too far, and it's precisely one of CUBE Entertainment's practices that has been singled out by netizens.

During her recent appearance on Daesung's (BIGBANG) YouTube show "ZIP Daesung", (G)I-DLE's Yuqi talked about CUBE Entertainment's methods for motivating her idols to lose weight, and it's fair to say that the agency's insane methods have got netizens pretty upset.

Yuqi explained that after the Chuseok vacation, CUBE Entertainment would weigh all its idols and publicly publish their weights in the agency for all to see. This tactic was intended to embarrass those who had gained weight and force them to lose weight.

She explained:

"It was during Chuseok [Chuseok food buff] Everyone would gain a lot of weight. But they printed a list And posted it in front of the office..!! [Publicized weight for everyone to see] YUQI, XX kg

Back then, there were sunbaes too PENTAGON and HyunA were there, BTOB seniors could all see it We had to keep seeing it"

She went on to reveal that she had lost 5 kilos in 3 days because of this insane method.

Yuqi revealed:

"At the time, I lost 5 kilos in 3 days. It was a wake-up call. Our weight was displayed until we lost weight and reached our goal. I thought that was really incredible of our agency. I still remember my weight at the time."

When Daesung was concerned for her and asked how she'd managed to lose 5 kilos in just 3 days, Yuqi replied:

"I hardly ate anything to lose it... I wanted to get my name off the paper quickly."

Obviously, we strongly advise against doing this sort of thing. Losing weight should be done in a healthy way, and with the advice of health professionals. We ask you to bear in mind that these methods are not to be imitated, and that they should be denounced.

Unsurprisingly, Internet users in South Korea have expressed their anger at Yuqi's revelations.

Many are denouncing the company's inhumane methods, which have given rise to a host of complexes and dangerous health problems among the agency's idols.

It's unfortunate that KPOP idols continue to fall victim to this kind of agency practice.
