On May 10th, during the press conference for 'THE 8 SHOW' on NETFLIX, Ryu Jun Yeol had to face the journalists and speak up about the situation. He said:
"Instead of trying to correct the false information about my personal life that has been posted on social media, I felt it was better to stay silent and accept the criticism.
I've been able to use this as an opportunity to reflect on myself and on this period which has been the most difficult since my debut. Since it's a personal matter, I believe it will be possible at some point to give an interview in a private and personal setting."
