In a surprising turn of events, actress Han So-hee has responded fiercely to rumors of a love triangle.
On the 15th, Han So-hee took to Instagram stories to share a photo of a dog holding a knife, with the caption, "Explain this situation right now." She wrote, "I don't like people who have a partner, nor I give them space, interest, or establish a relationship in the guise of friendship, and I don't meddle in other people's relationships. I like transit dating programs, but they're not a part of my life. It’s fun for me too."
Later that day, Hye-ri posted on social media, "This is fun" when news of the alleged relationship between Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee broke out. Afterward, she unfollowed Ryu Jun-yeol on Instagram. Despite their breakup in November of last year after a seven-year relationship, she had continued to follow him, but the rumors of his involvement with Han So-hee prompted her to make the decision to unfollow him. Hye-ri's agency, Creative Group ENJIN, has not made any official statement regarding the matter. Some speculate that Ryu Jun-yeol might have switched his affection from Hye-ri to Han So-hee.
On the same day, online communities and social media were abuzz with eyewitness accounts of Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee spending time together in Hawaii. A Japanese influencer wrote, "The top actors and actresses in Korea are having a 'lovey-dovey' time at the hotel pool," tagging Ryu Jun-yeol and Han So-hee and adding, "The juiciest gossip." The tags included their collaborations in dramas like "Reply 1988" (2015-2016) and "Nevertheless" (2021).
Last November, Han So-hee visited a photo exhibition of Ryu Jun-yeol with her younger sister. She also posted several photos of herself hugging a polar bear doll on social media. Ryu Jun-yeol appeared as a spokesperson for the international environmental organization Greenpeace's campaign "I Am a Polar Bear." This led to speculation that Han So-hee had hinted at her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol even before the rumors surfaced. The two are currently in discussions for the drama "Hyeonhok," set in 1935 Seoul and 19th-century Shanghai, revolving around a mysterious incident involving a woman. It is based on a webtoon of the same name.
Ryu Jun-yeol's agency, C-JeS Studio, confirmed that he is in Hawaii for a photo shoot but clarified that it is a personal trip. They stated that they would not address every single eyewitness account that emerged from his private life and requested understanding in this matter. Han So-hee's agency, 9ATO Entertainment, also stated that she went on vacation to Hawaii with close friends and added that they are unaware of further details. They asked for understanding and respect for her personal life.
