Notably, the young man sighed at the beginning of the call, and towards the end, just before the video cut off, someone can be distinctly heard muttering an expletive.
The fan expressed her disappointment, stating that she had spent a significant amount of money to connect with ZEROBASEONE and was left feeling let down by the experience. She emphasized that she hadn't said anything inappropriate or challenged him in any way, making it clear that she felt the disrespectful behavior was entirely on Kim Jiwoong's part.

In her own words, the fan shared, "As soon as the call started, he sighed and acted as if he despised the fans. Why should fans pay a ton of money and then have to walk on eggshells during the conversation? I didn't say anything weird or ask him to do a strange challenge, and it wasn't my fault. It was 100% Kim Jiwoong's fault, and there was no reason for him to act this way. I guess I just wasn't lucky. I am upset."

On February 3rd, WAKEONE, the agency representing ZEROBASEONE, addressed the issue by denying the allegations. The company stated, "After checking with Kim Jiwoong himself, the accusations are not true. We have also confirmed with the staff and translator who were present on-site. For the sake of objective truth, WAKEONE will clearly ensure the truth is definitively clarified using digital analysis methods, and we will protect our artist."
