KBS has banned two songs from (G)I-DLE's new album from being broadcasted. Every week, KBS reviews all new tracks that artists wish to air on the network, which undergo an eligibility test by the Korean Communications Standards Commission.

This week, two tracks from (G)I-DLE's album "2" were denied airtime on KBS. The banned songs are "Rollie" and "Wife", the latter having recently released a pre-release MV. "Wife", composed and written by Soyeon, was rejected by KBS due to explicit lyrics, while "Rollie" was banned for mentioning multiple brands.

This means that unless the lyrics are changed specifically for KBS, these songs will not be aired on the network. As a result, "Rollie" and "Wife" will not be included in Music Bank and cannot compete for the win on KBS' music show. It is now up to CUBE Entertainment to decide whether to censor the lyrics in a new version submitted to KBS or simply ignore the situation and not offer these songs for broadcast on the network. However, this only applies to KBS as they are the only network with this system in place.
